ESSEX COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING

On Monday I presented our petition to the Essex County Board of Supervisors.  County Manager Daniel Palmer requested all info on the Bridges be given to him from DPW superintendent Jim Dougan.

Also at the meeting was Assemblyman Dan Stec.  He was so captured by the petition that he immediately called the Town of Chesterfield and requested a meeting later this week, as well as a walking tour of these bridges.

TOWN BOARD MEETING (TOWN OF CHESTERFIELD)

I presented the petition to the Town of Chesterfield this evening and received full support from all of the board members.  I was invited to participate in the meeting with Assemblyman Stec.  I will be there!

CLINTON COUNTY HIGHWAY SUPERVISOR

I have a phone call scheduled with the Clinton County Highway Supervisor on Friday.  I will request to meet with the Clinton County Legislature at their next meeting.

TOWN OF AUSABLE

I’m going to try to stop in and meet with Sandy Senecle on Friday morning.  I’m going to again make sure I have a time slot on the Town of Ausable Board Meeting on August 12th, and express that we would love the their full support.

BIGGEST HURDLE

The biggest Hurdle will be the Clinton County Legislature.  It’s my intention to gain support from both highway supervisors in each county, and to express that the majority of signatures of the petition actually came from CLINTON COUNTY!  Our voters are speaking loud and clear that this is vital to our community.

KEEP THE PETITION GOING!

Even though we have presented the petition to Essex County, we can still boost those signature numbers for LOCAL residents in Clinton and Essex County.  The more local signatures we get, the more serious we should be taken!

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

I thank you all sincerely for your support with this project.  I’m hoping a new round of dialog will finally get something done about these bridges.
