Old State Road Bridge Construction

Old State Road Bridge Construction

Thank you to Sara Perkett for sharing this photo today of the Old State Road Bridge being built. (1890-1900). This was her message “I was going through some Perkett Family photos today and found this beauty for you. I believe the man to the far left is Pascal Perkett working on the bridge in AuSable Chasm. Lifelong resident of Keeseville. These are hardworking men and this is how they got the job done in those days. I also have some pictures of the stone bridge on Route 9 being built in later years.”
