Keeping Things Factual

Keeping Things Factual

Just so that I keep everything as factual as I can, For clarification on why our rep was removed from the transportation committee.I emailed Mr Henry. This is was his response:
It’s pretty simple really.
In December Legislator Timmons asked to go to another specific Committee. We also had a newly elected Legislator that came on board who needed to be plugged into Committee work.
To accomplish this request while simultaneously balancing the workload and the complicated scheduling process that 10 Standing Committees, 10 Liaison Committees, 10 Legislators, numerous County Department Heads, and Legislative staff require. while at the same time ensuring there are no conflicts with our Regular Session Legislative meetings and other constituent work is a difficult and time consuming process. Make one change and it has a cascading effect on all.

Also, In another email, I did hear from Rob Timmons. He mentioned that he isn’t sure why he was removed from the committee. He had been on the transportation committee since he started. They do occasionally switch committee members once in awhile but he was surprised he was switched out, because he had the most experience in the transportation area. He had also asked to be a part of the airport committee recently as well. It could be someone else wanted on the transportation committee. He assured me he still has a vote and thanked me for my efforts still supports our cause.
